Soma Hoshigami is the second playable lead — a simple delivery boy working the ruined Tokyo streets until an Aberration attack leaves him in a fractured, 'Half-turned' state where man and monster fuse into one. He is rescued and taken into custody by Rena Hizuki, formally registered as 'lost property' rather than as a citizen — the institutional cruelty the story interrogates from its opening chapter.

Soma’s Half-turned state is the story’s walking question: he is part Anomaly in a city where the Public Safety Mutation Response Division exists to police exactly that. The Tier One - Hoshigami hidden achievement marks a milestone in his arc, and the epilogue the pair can earn (Public Anomaly Squad) resolves it. How his nature is treated across the Grand Scenario’s choices feeds directly into the endings.

Soma is the aggressive half of the duo. His kit leans into the Rush system — stacking and chaining skills into massive combos (Relentless Assault at Rush 200, In a Frenzy at Rush 300) and finishing with the Arcanum Awakening that powers the All-Out Attack achievement. Where Rena dissects an onslaught, Soma blows the fight open.
