District Progression Guide - Routing Tips

How to route Qliphah's four Tokyo districts: Shibuya, Dogenzaka, Ebisu and Shimokitazawa — what each district is for, when to push, and how to spend the five-day countdown efficiently.

Quick Answer: What Order Should I Do the Districts?

Follow the story's own order — Shibuya first, then Dogenzaka as the Stigma thread opens, Ebisu and Shimokitazawa in the late chapters — but spend each district's arrival the same way: clear the Search Areas before pushing Key Areas, fight the Battle Sites at or above your level, and leave orange-level sites tagged on the map for a return trip. The districts are layered by story progress, not hard gates; the real constraint is the five-day countdown, which punishes detours that don't pay.

The Map Is the Strategy Layer

Every point of interest on Qliphah's map shows two numbers before you enter: recommended enemy level and skill drop rate. That turns routing into arithmetic — two Search Areas cost the same time, but the one with the skill you're missing is worth double. Check the map before every route decision; the district comparison page tabulates how the four districts differ.

Enemy levels on the map are honest. If a Battle Site is three levels above you, the timeline won’t save you — come back later.

District-by-District Priorities

  • Shibuya — learn the loop: tutorials, first palette customization, Wailing Wraith Perfect Guard practice, first Mystic Pass.
  • Dogenzaka — the Stigma cases open; long fights make it the Rush 200 district and the buff-discipline district.
  • Ebisu — close combat milestones: Counter grinding (Untouchable) and high-tier skill drops toward 50% (A Glimpse of Mastery).
  • Shimokitazawa — the checklist district: purify max corruption (Messiah), Evidence Board to 100% (Truth Seeker), endgame levels before the boss gauntlet.

Mystic Passes and Backtracking

Mystic Passes — discovered for the Into the Unknown achievement — are the fast-travel network between districts. Backtracking is a legitimate strategy in Qliphah: earlier-district Search Areas are the cheap way to farm skill drops when an endgame site out-levels you. The five-day clock tolerates efficient backtracking; it punishes grinding enemies three levels up.
